- !!!За да изпълните упражнението е необходимо да имате инсталиран софтуер за виртуализация и дисков образ на Windows Server 2012. Софтуерът за виртуализация използван в текущото упражнение е VMWare vSphere!!!

1. Въведение
Целта на това практическо упражнение е да се усвоят основните стъпки от процеса по инсталиране на Windows Server 2012 върху новосъздадена виртуална машина. Студентите ще придобият познания за това как да използват автоматизираната програма на Windows за избор на регионални настройки, език, клавиатурна подредба, както и как се избират различните версии за инсталиране на ОС и дисковия дял, където да се инсталира тя.
- 2. Цел на упражнението
- Изпълнение на „чисто“ инсталиране на ОС Windows Server 2012 на виртуалната машина;
- 3. Инсталиране на Windows Server 2012
Стъпка 1. – Стартирайте виртуалната машина.
Стъпка 2. – След стартирането на виртуалната машина в екрана от таба Console ще се появи началния екран на инсталатора на Windows Server 2012 с логото на ОС.
Installation of Windows Server 2012 on a newly created virtual machine
- !!!To perform the exercise, you should have virtualization software installed and Windows Server 2012 disk image. The virtualization software used in the current exercise is VMWare vSphere!!!
- 1. Introduction
The purpose of this practical exercise is to guide the students through the basic installation steps when a bare-bone installation of Windows Server 2012 is done on a newly created virtual machine. The students will gain knowledge about the Windows installation wizard and will learn how to select regional settings, languages and keyboard layouts, as well as how to choose the different installation versions of the Windows Server 2012 OS and the disk partitions to install it on.
- 2. Aim of the exercise
- Bare-bone installation of Windows Server 2012 on the virtual machine;
- 3. Installation of a Windows Server 2012 operating system
Step 1. – Start the virtual machine.
Step 2. – After the start of the virtual machine, on the screen within the Console tab you will see the virtual machine boot-up screen, followed by the Windows Server 2012 installation screen with the emblematic logo on it.

Step 3. – After the boot-up of the automated installation wizard, you will be redirected to the Windows Setup screen.
- Използвайте следните настройки:
- За Language to Install използвайте опцията English (United States)
- За Time and currency format задайте Bulgarian (Bulgaria)
- За Keyboard or input method задайте United States – International
- Use the following configuration settings:
- For Language to Install use the option English (United States)
- For Time and currency format use the option Bulgarian (Bulgaria)
- For Keyboard or input method use the option United States – International
- Изберете бутона Next, за да продължите.
Стъпка 4. – Изберете бутона Install now за да стартира процеса по инсталация
- Click on the Next button to continue with the installation.
Step 4. – Select the Install now button to start the installation process
- Стъпка 5. – Въведете следния ключ в прозореца за въвеждане на лицензен ключ – 48HP8-DN98B-MYWDG-T2DCC-8W83P и изберете бутона Next.
- Step 5. – Enter the following key in the Product key field – 48HP8-DN98B-MYWDG-T2DCC-8W83P and click on the Next button.
- !!ВНИМАНИЕ!!
Въведения ключ е KMS Client Setup ключ! Този ключ се използва по подразбиране за фабрични инсталиране на ОС и не е краен потребителски лицензен ключ!
Стъпка 6. – След въвеждането на лицензния ключ, ще ви се появи екрана за избор на версия на ОС. Изберете Windows Server 2012 Datacenter (Server with a GUI).
- !!WARNING!!
The provided key is a KMS Client Setup key! This key is used by default for the factory based installations of the OS and is not an end-user key!
Step 6. – Once the license key is introduced, you will be redirected to the next Windows setup screen, where you will need to select the version of the OS for the installation. Select the Windows Server 2012 Datacenter (Server with a GUI) option.
- Стъпка 7. – След избора на версия ще ви се изведе екрана съдържащ лицензните правила и условия. Изберете отметката, с която удостоверявате, че сте съгласни с тези условия и продължете напред.
Стъпка 8. – Следващия екран ще ви попита за варианта за инсталиране на ОС. В рамките на това упражнение ще разгледаме само как се осъществява „чиста“ инсталация на Server 2012. Изберете Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).
- Step 7. – After the selection of the version for the installation, you will be directed to the screen that contains the Licence Agreement & Terms for use of the OS. Select the mark to acknowledge that you agree with the Terms & Conditions and continue the installation.
Step 8. – In the next screen you will be asked to select the installation type. In this exercise, we will go through the steps necessary for the clean installation of Windows Server 2012, also known as bare-bone installation. Select the Custom: Install Windows only (advanced) option.
Стъпка 9. – Следващия екран се използва за избор на дисковия дял за инсталиране на ОС. Виртуалните машини разполагат с един диск с обем от 80GB . Разделете диска на два дяла – един с обем 60GB (61440MB) и един с обем оставащото пространство. Изберете дяла с обем 60GB за инсталиране на ОС.
Step 9. – The next screen is used to select the partition for the installation of the OS. The Virtual machines have one single disk of 80GB in size. Divide the disk in two partitions – one with volume of 60GB (61440MB) and one with the remaining disk size. Select the newly created disk with size of 60GB, so that you can install the OS there.
Стъпка 10. – След избора на дисковия дял за инсталиране на ОС ще започне автоматизирания процес по инсталиране на ОС Windows Server 2012.
Процеса по инсталиране на операционната система може да отнеме между 10 и 15 минути! Имайте търпение и анализирайте всички стъпки още веднъж!
- Step 10. – After the selection of the disk partition for the installation, the automated installation process will commence automatically
The installation process might take some time (between 10 and 15 minutes)! Have patience and analyse the installation steps!
Стъпка 11. – След приключване на автоматизирания процес по инсталиране на ОС виртуалната машина ще се рестартира и ще се зареди екрана за въвеждане на парола за основния административен потребител – Administrator. Въведете за парола MAPassword123. Изберете Finish.

Step 11. – After the completion of the installation process, the virtual machine will reboot and the Settings screen will appear. On this screen, you will be requested to enter the password for the main administrator of the computer – Administrator. Enter the password MAPassword123. Select Finish.
Стъпка 12. – След приключване на процедурата по инсталиране на ОС ще ви се изведе основния екран за вход и достъп до ОС. Изберете бутоните Ctrl+Alt+Insert за да въведете парола и да достъпите ОС.

Step 12. – After the completion of the installation procedures, you will be redirected to the main Start-up screen of the OS. Press the Ctrl+Alt+Insert button combination to enter the password and to access the OS.
По подразбиране бутоните за вход във системата са Ctrl+Alt+Del! Поради факта, че работите на виртуални машини тази клавишна комбинация е заменена с Ctrl+Alt+Insert. Натискането на Ctrl+Alt+Del ще изведе системния екран на локалната ви машина
- Въведете паролата, която конфигурирахте за потребителя Administrator.
By default the button combination is Ctrl+Alt+Del! As you are using virtual machines, this combination is replaced by Ctrl+Alt+Insert. If you press Ctrl+Alt+Del you will go to the system screen of your physical computer.
- Enter the password for the Administrator user.
Стъпка 13. – След успешно въвеждане на паролата ще се зареди работното пространство на Windows Server 2012 и ще се стартира Server Manager. Отделете няколко минути да се запознаете с ОС. Какви разлики открихте спрямо ОС, която използвате на собствения си компютър?
- Step 13. – After the successful login, you will have access to the OS and the main working space of the Windows Server 2012 OS will be presented to you. After a while, the Server Manager screen will be started. Have some time to go around the Server OS and to get familiar with the Graphical User Interface. Have you seen any differences with the regular Windows OS for desktop computers?
