Целта на това практическо упражнение е да се усвоят основните стъпки от процеса по инсталиране на Windows Server 2012 върху виртуална машина, която е функционална и се използва за интернет и файлов сървър. Студентите ще придобият и затвърдят знанията си за това как да използват автоматизираната програма на Windows за инсталиране на ОС.

2. Цел на упражнението

• Преглед и анализ на конфигурацията на ОС и анализ на съществуващите роли;
• Инсталиране на ОС Windows Server 2012 на виртуалната машина и надграждане на съществуващата ОС;

3. Надграждане на ОС Windows Server 2008 R2 с ОС Windows Server 2012

Стъпка 1. – Стартирайте виртуалната машина
Стъпка 2. – След стартирането на виртуалната машина в екрана от таба Console ще се появи екрана за идентификация на ОС Windows Server 2008 R2 (Фиг. 4). Използвайте клавишната комбинация между бутоните Ctrl+Alt+Insert, за да въведете парола и да достъпите ОС. Паролата за достъп е MAPassword123.

The aim of this exercise is to guide the students through the process for installation of Windows Server 2012 on a functioning virtual machine, which is used for web-server and file-sharing server. The students will gain and improve their knowledge about the use of the automated tools for installation of the Windows operating system.

2. Aim of the exercise

• Overview and analysis of the configuration of the operation system on the virtual machine and analysis of the existing roles;
• Installation of the Windows Server 2012 operation system on a virtual machine and upgrade of the existing operation system;

3. Upgrade from Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2012

Step 1. – Start the virtual machine
Step 2. – After the start of the Virtual Machine, in the screen on the Console tab you will see the Windows Server 2008 R2 Login Screen (Fig. 4). Use the button combination Ctrl+Alt+Insert to enter the password and to access the OS. The password for access is MAPassword123.

След зареждане на операционната система ще се зареди екрана за първоначална конфигурация. Прегледайте информацията, която се извежда на екрана. Какво роли има конфигурирани за сървъра? След като разгледате настройките, затворете прозореца. Автоматично ще ви се зареди екрана на Server Manager.

After the loading of the operation system, you will see the initial configuration screen. Have a look at the configuration of the server – which roles are configured? After you have a look at the configuration, close the window. You will be automatically redirected to the Server Manager screen.

Прегледайте интерфейса на Server Manager. Какво са основните разлики спрямо Server 2012? Затворете прозореца на Server Manager.

Стъпка 3. – От Start менюто изберете Run. В появилия се прозорец въведете d:\setup.exe. С тази команда ще стартирате инсталационната програма за Server 2012. Изберете Install now.

Analyse the interface of the Server Manager. Which are the main differences, compared to the Windows Server 2012 OS? Close the Server Manager window.

Step 3. – From the Start menu select Run. In the window that has appeared, enter the command d:\setup.exe. With this command you will start the installation wizard for Server 2012. Select Install now.

Стъпка 4. – На екрана ще се появи прозорец, който ще ви попита дали искате да направите обновяване на системата – изберете No thanks.

Step 4. – On the screen you will see a window, which will ask you if you wish to update the OS – select No thanks.

Стъпка 5. – Въведете следния ключ в прозореца за въвеждане на лицензен ключ – 48HP8-DN98B-MYWDG-T2DCC-8W83P и изберете бутона Next.

Step 5. – Enter the following key in the licence key text box from the Windows Setup screen – 48HP8-DN98B-MYWDG-T2DCC-8W83P and select the Next button.

Стъпка 6. – След въвеждането на лицензния ключ, ще ви се появи екрана за избор на версия на ОС. Изберете Windows Server 2012 Datacenter (Server with a GUI).

Step 6. – Once the license key is introduced, you will be redirected to the next Windows setup screen, where you will need to select the version of the OS for the installation. Select the Windows Server 2012 Datacenter (Server with a GUI) option.

Стъпка 7. – След избора на версия ще ви се изведе екрана съдържащ лицензните правила и условия. Изберете отметката, с която удостоверявате, че сте съгласни с тези условия и продължете напред.

Step 7. – After the selection of the Windows OS version, you will see the screen for the license agreement and terms. Select I accept the license terms field to acknowledge your agreement to the license terms and to continue with the installation.

Стъпка 8. – Следващия екран ще ви попита за варианта за инсталиране на ОС. Изберете Upgrade: Install Windows and keep files, settings and applications.

Step 8. – On the next screen you will be asked to select the installation option for the OS. Select Upgrade: Install Windows and keep files, settings and applications.

Стъпка 9. – На екрана ще се изведе информация за съвместимостта на софтуера и инсталираните компоненти. Изберете Next.

Step 9. – On the screen you will see information about the compatibility of the software and the already installed components. Select Next.

Стъпка 10. – След екрана, съдържащ информация за съвместимостта на ОС, ще започне автоматизирания процес по надграждане на ОС с Windows Server 2012.

!!ВНИМАНИЕ!!
Процеса по инсталиране на операционната система може да отнеме между 10 и 15 минути! Имайте търпение и анализирайте всички стъпки още веднъж!

Step 10. – After the screen, which contains information about the compatibility of the OS, the automated upgrade process will start and the system will be upgraded.

!!WARNING!!
The installation process might take some time (between 10 and 15 minutes)! Have patience and analyse the installation steps!

Стъпка 11. – След приключване на процеса по надграждане на ОС ще се появи началния екран на Windows Server 2012.

Step 11. – After the end of the upgrade process, you should see the starting screen of the Windows Server 2012 OS.

Стъпка 12. – Достъпете ОС посредством клавишната комбинация Ctrl+Alt+Ins и въведете паролата за администраторския профил. Изчакайте ОС да зареди. На екрана ще се изведе прозореца на Server Manager.

Step 12. – Access the OS by pressing the Ctrl+Alt+Ins button combination and by entering your password for the Administrator user. Wait for the OS to load. On the screen you will see the Server Manager window.

Стъпка 13. – Изберете Local Server от дясната лента с елементи. Анализирайте информацията, която ви се извежда посредством този екран. Каква е версията на ОС? В най-долната част на този екран е информацията за активните роли и инсталираните на сървъра компоненти. Има ли активни роли? Отговарят ли те на активните роли преди обновяването на системата с Windows Server 2012?

Step 13. – Select the Local Server option from the right bar with elements. Analyse the information, which will be displayed by that screen. Which is the OS version? In the lower part of the screen is the information for the active roles and the features, which are already installed on the server. Are there any active roles? Are they corresponding to the roles that were available before the upgrade of the system to Windows Server 2012?

Стъпка 14. – Изберете All Servers. Колко сървъра има добавени за управление? Изберете File and Storage Services. Разгледайте елементите и информацията, която ви се извежда. С колко дяла разполага сървъра? Колко са наличните дискове и каква технология за разделяне на дяловете се използва? Изберете IIS. С колко и какви IP адреси разполага сървъра. Отворете браузър на локалния компютър и въведете в полето за адрес поотделно двата IP адреса. Трябва да ви се зареди началната страница на интернет сървъра, който е активиран посредством IIS ролята.

Step 14. – Select the All Servers option. How many servers are available for you to control? Select the File and Storage Services option. Analyse the elements and the information that is provided on the screen. How many partitions are available? How many disks are available and which technology for partitioning was used? Select the IIS option. How many and which are the IP addresses of the server? Open the browser of any local computer and enter the IP address of your server in the URL field. You should see the starting webpage of the webserver, which is active through the IIS role.
